Hosts to keep survival hopes alive with a crucial win

I was surprised to see Cadiz, the favourite, available at odds against the winner of this relegation battle with Granada. That is why they are a confident selection to start my tips.

Under the new head coach Mauricio Pellegrino, the squad has shown improvement in his eight games in charge, especially in his last two home games. What showed great resilience was rescuing a 2-2 draw with an equaliser 10 minutes into added-on time against Celta Vigo, having been 2-0 down. Additionally, a 2-0 victory against Atletico Madrid in their previous home game caught the eye.

Granada only have two points from their away games this season. They have lost 12 of their 14 road trips, conceding 33 goals in the process.

Keeping it tight at the back is the key to Cadizโ€™s success

The stats show Cadiz have scored the fewest goals in La Liga this season with just 20. However, at home they have been strong at the other end, conceding only 17 times. Thatโ€™s two less than Barcelona and only one more than Atletico Madrid, who have the best record on home soil in the division.

Since the arrival of Pellegrino, No Goal (NG) has landed in six of his eight games in charge. Meanwhile, Granada have failed to score in eight of their 14 road trips, including five of the last seven.

Bet 2: NG in Goal/No Goal @ 1.82 with Bet9ja

Loan ranger to keep the Yellow Submarine afloat

All survival stories tend to have a goalscoring hero at its heart and it looks like the Yellow Submarine may have gotten themselves one. Juanmi terminated his loan at Al Riyadh from Real Betis to return to La Liga in an attempt to score the goals that could fire Cadiz to safety.

Things have started well, scoring in both starts at his new Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla home, including both goals in the 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid. I am adding him to my predictions believing he will hit the back of the net again against the leakiest defence in La Liga.

Bet 3: Juanmi to score @ 2.60 with Bet9ja

Alcaraz can serve it up to the visitors

Ruben Alcaraz has put some very solid stats together across the campaign to date. The 32-year-old has scored twice from a total of 35 shots in 2328 minutes of La Liga action this season. That is an average of a shot every 66 minutes.

He has had 22 attempts at goal in his last 10 appearances, having six and four in home games against Celta Vigo and Valencia. The midfielder has had at least two attempts at goal in three of his last four outings on home soil and three in the most recent head-to-head with Granada.

Bet 4: Ruben Alcaraz over 1.5 Shots @ 2.00 with bet365
