1000-Lb Sisters: "Black Velvet!": Tammy's Newest All-Black Outfits After Extraordinary Weight Loss Milestone

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton is a Dixon, Kentucky resident who’s become an overnight sensation – her body makeover, which she’s been flaunting in some fashionable black outfits, seems to have made her a superstar. Yes, she was famous for years, but now, people can’t get enough of the Southern woman’s outfits, as they love to see her style and how Tammy’s body’s changed.

In 1989, Alannah Myles wrote a beautiful song about the life and times of Elvis Presley – it’s called Black Velvet, and Elvis was an overnight sensation too. His sleepy smile and moves made him irresistible, not to mention that silky-smooth voice. Lately, Queen Tammy’s been mimicking “the King” with fun TikToks where she sings and dances.

At Tammy‘s TikTok, she’s showing off post-weight-loss style that’s all about dark colors and rich textures. In the clip shown above, she shines in a soft black t-shirt featuring a white starburst print. Tammy’s black top looks great with her fair skin and auburn hair.

Since Tammy darkened her hair and cut it, she looks so polished. Back in the day, Elvis rocked a Quiff hairstyle (also called the “ducktail”) that was shoe polish-black. He actually dyed his fair hair a deep onyx shade to get his signature look. Tammy’s starting to step into her own style now, after the kind of reinvention that Elvis would appreciate.

Tammy, who used to live in a duplex with 1000-Lb Sisters‘ Amy Slaton, is still at the home they shared, while Amy bought her own house in Morganfield, Kentucky. Amy’s house, which features one story and 1584 square feet of living space, cost only 37K, according to InTouch Weekly.

While Tammy doesn’t have a grand, Graceland-style residence like Elvis bought after he struck it rich, she seems proud of her home. Her house is often the backdrop for her TikToks. Like Elvis Aaron, who never really recovered from the death of his beloved mother, Gladys Presley,

Elvis did move on after Gladys’ passing, but a part of him died. Tammy is bravely building a brighter future after a great loss, and wears Caleb’s ashes in a treble clef pendant. She finds solace in connecting with fans, just like Elvis did. Both celebrities are no strangers to addiction. With Elvis, it was pills, and later on, food. Tammy’s emotional eating put her life at risk. She was once on a ventilator, fighting for her life.

Colonel Tom Parker used Elvis. At first, Elvis may have needed the manager, whose craftiness (and ruthlessness) helped the singer to scale the heights. Later on, it was like the Dutch con artist Parker (born Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk) was draining the life out of the sensitive and gifted artist. Tammy ran into some sketchy people too, including “feeder” boyfriends who wanted her to be as heavy as possible. These men didn’t care about Tammy’s health and well-being. Caleb was different but couldn’t conquer his demons.

In an exciting new clip, Tammy Slaton (via TikTok) highlighted her weight-loss progress. She showed her entire body while clad in a deep black t-shirt with a silky texture. Tammy topped the long top with gray pants. She looked cute and confident in the outfit. Elvis donned a black leather jumpsuit for an iconic live performance. Lately, Tammy’s been spotted in black leather too. She’s been rocking edgy black looks for a while, including a motorcycle jacket that looks great over almost anything, from Tammy’s glam evening gown to her track pants.

Tammy Slaton‘s TikTok is a great place to learn more about Tammy’s fashion evolution and life journey. In the clip above, she wears a pretty black shirt with a subtle white Cheetah print. She layers the top over a green shirt for a cool and casual look. Tammy’s really branching out – Elvis was known for his pink suit and pink Cadillac, and Tammy’s rocked exciting pink looks too. She’s also worn ruby red and mellow yellow.

Tammy’s in a whole new era. Elvis grew up dirt-poor and life wasn’t much easier for young Tammy. Tammy and Amy weren’t exactly rich girls. They were raised by their mom, who was usually out of the home. Their mom Darlene had to work hard to support her girls. A tough life may have hardened Darlene. When she’s shown onscreen, she doesn’t seem very maternal or loving.

No one’s trying to judge 1000-Lb Sisters star Darlene. Elvis’ mother wasn’t perfect either, always talking about his dead twin, Jesse Garon Presley. She clung to Elvis when giving him freedom would have been healthier. Nonetheless, Elvis (who was wonderfully portrayed by Austin Butler in the incredible Baz Luhrman film, Elvis) adored his mother. Tammy’s feelings about her mom Darlene seem more complicated. Tammy and Amy have “mommy issues.”
