The show chronicles the couples’ lives after going through the K-1 visa process and marrying. Though some of this season’s couples are thriving and loving their new lives together, Jasmine and Gino are struggling to make their relationship work.
Gino and Jasmine first appeared in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days seasons 5 and 6. The 53-year-old Michigan man and the 37-year-old Panamanian woman have had a tumultuous relationship, but they ended up getting engaged during season 5. After Jasmine finally moved to Michigan to be with Gino, they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 10, and the drama continued. Jasmine had to work through her suspicions that Gino was cheating, and Gino forgave Jasmine for letting her ex buy her butt implants. Despite all the drama, Gino and Jasmine got married at the end of the season.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 finds Gino and Jasmine living in Michigan, but all is not well with the newlyweds. Jasmine is frustrated that she and Gino haven’t brought her children from Panama to live with them. Jasmine insists that Gino promised, but Gino says he doesn’t have the $5,000 it would cost to bring her children. In the meantime, they’re trying to get pregnant, but Jasmine hasn’t been completely honest about her reproductive challenges.
Money has always been a big issue in their relationship, with Jasmine always accusing Gino of being cheap. For some reason, Gino quit his job when Jasmine first moved to the United States, so the pressure is on. He is living on savings and his pension, so he can’t afford to be as extravagant as Jasmine wants him to be. Gino should leave before Jasmine puts him in the poor house.
During the 90 Day Fiancé season 10 Tell All, clips were shown from Gino’s Bachelor party, and Jasmine had a complete meltdown. The show even brought out Daisy, one of the strippers from the strip club that Gino’s family took him to. It seemed like a fairly tame bachelor party at a local strip club, and Daisy confirmed that nothing crazy had happened. “He was very awkward he seemed very uninterested in being there and just kind of wanted to hang with his family and have a good time in the environment,” she said.
In a complete overreaction, Jasmine went as far as to say that she would never have married Gino if she had seen the clip before the wedding. Meanwhile, Jasmine was mad that Gino had dancers at his bachelor party; however, she had them at her divorce celebration during 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. If Gino sticks around and stays married to Jasmine, he’ll have to live with this unfair double standard forever.
Jasmine and Gino had one of their many explosive fights during 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6, during an interview scene. Jasmine got mad when Gino equated Jasmine to his family members. Jasmine, who wanted to be positioned above his family, flew off the handle completely. She yelled and screamed, calling him an idiot before telling him that she had been intimate with her ex, Dane, one month prior and that he was the best partner she’d ever had. To further hurt Gino, Jasmine said that she and Dane had filmed their encounter.
Jasmine has repeatedly shown that she will hit below the belt when she’s in a fight with Gino and will try to say the most hurtful thing possible. Jasmine knows Gino has some insecurity about their sex life, so for her to compare Gino to Dane was vicious of her. Furthermore, Jasmine was the one who made their intimate life public and implied that the reason it was bad was because of Gino. He should stop putting up with Jasmine’s abusive behavior.
Gino and Jasmine are always fighting about money. For some insane reason, Gino quit his job when Jasmine moved to the United States and is living off of his pension and savings. Meanwhile, Jasmine still isn’t working despite being here long enough to have applied for her green card. At this point, it’s obvious Jasmine expects Gino to support her financially, as well as her existing children and any children they may have together.
The 90 Day Fiancé stars spent more on the wedding than Gino wanted to spend because Jasmine wanted an expensive wedding dress that was out of their budget. Despite Gino making his financial concerns clear, Jasmine had to push him to give her what she wanted. Jasmine will never stop pressuring Gino financially, and she doesn’t seem interested in working.
During the 90 Day Fiancé season 10 Tell All special, Gino and Jasmine’s cast members confronted Jasmine about the money she received from Dane, her ex-boyfriend. Although Jasmine insists that nothing is going on between her and Dane, she brings him up every time she fights with Gino. Jasmine’s relationship with her ex really highlighted Jasmine’s hypocrisy. Jasmine told Gino that Dane would always be in her life, despite Gino being uncomfortable with the relationship.
Meanwhile, Jasmine is wildly jealous of Gino talking to any woman under any circumstances. She went ballistic on Gino when she found a tube of lip balm in his car. After it was revealed that Dane paid for Jasmine’s butt implants, Gino finally got Jasmine to agree to stop seeing Dane. The money from Dane was on top of money she got from Gino that was intended to buy a wedding dress that she put into her cosmetic surgery.
One of Jasmine’s most furious moments on 90 Day Fiancé was when she learned that Gino wanted her to sign a prenup before getting married. She insulted her husband, called him names, made demands, and threatened to leave him. It was only a matter of time before Gino relented and dropped the entire prenup idea. Jasmine’s use of anger as a weapon to get what she wants is another reason Gino should get as far away from her as possible.
Gino has mostly given in to Jasmine’s emotional tyranny, except when it comes to his family. Whenever Jasmine came for Gino’s family, he courageously stood up to his demanding wife. Jasmine disliked Gino’s family due to perceived slights and insults. Gino didn’t help when he told Jasmine that he wouldn’t put her above his family, though it was what she wanted. She even yelled at him in public because she felt his family was rude to her.
Jasmine’s hatred for Gino’s family has come up multiple times in public situations where Jasmine has embarrassed Gino and talked down to him. At one point, Jasmine dragged Gino to a rin shop and put him on the spot about buying her a new ring. She tried to push him into admitting she was more important to Gino than his family. Gino refused to give her what she wanted and walked away. Gino should keep walking until he’s as far away from Jasmine as humanely possible.
Jasmine blames Gino for not including her two children on her K-1 visa application. This was a huge oversight that would keep her from bringing her children to the United States as quickly as she would like. Though an emotional Jasmine was quick to blame Gino for the mistake, the 90 Day Fiancé star should take accountability for not planning properly. Since they’re her children, she should have been the one educating herself on immigration laws.
Furthermore, Jasmine should stop blaming Gino for not giving her the $5,000 she needs to pay an immigration lawyer to file the paperwork for her children. If she wants her children with her in the United States, Jasmine should get a job. As a former teacher in Panama, surely Jasmine can acquire employment in the United States. The bottom line is Jasmine is lazy, and it’s easier to blame Gino for her problems. Gino should pack up Jasmine’s things and wash his hands of Jasmine’s loud rage, annoying demands, and infinite drama.
