Kobe Blaise defended his wife, Emily Bieberly, after his friends asked an inappropriate question in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. Kobe and Emily have faced many challenges over the years. However, their recent trip to Africa may be their toughest hurdle yet. Since Emily isn’t used to Cameroonian traditions, Kobe is worried if Emily will be able to build a decent relationship with his family. Likewise, Emily is concerned about building relationships with her in-laws. Recently, she was surprised to learn that her father-in-law wanted her to remarry Kobe as per their traditions.
Kobe and Emily are happy together, but not everyone is cool with their relationship. Access Hollywood has posted a preview of an upcoming episode in which Kobe gets a haircut as his friends ask him a really odd question. They ask if Emily is “naggy,” comparing her to traditional women in Cameroon who treat their husbands like a king.
Kobe immediately defends his wife. He states that she is American and not like Cameroonian women. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star adds that it doesn’t bother him. Kobe said that building a future with Emily is what matters to him.
The preview clip also shows Kobe talking about his expectations of Emily. He says, “I love Emily, and I don’t expect her to change,” stating that he’s happy with her.
Kobe and Emily’s journey has been full of unexpected turns. However, every challenge has only made them stronger as a couple. Their latest trip to Cameroon also seems full of new hurdles. However, they’ll likely overcome every challenge as usual.
Kobe was right to defend his relationship in front of his friends. While he could’ve easily avoided answering their question or gotten angry at them for asking if Emily was naggy, he chose the different approach. He educated them on the real differences between the two cultures. Kobe knows that his marriage isn’t traditionally Cameroonian. He understands that all that matters is a healthy relationship. Kobe doesn’t take it to heart that Emily doesn’t treat him like a king. He’s willing to make the sacrifices it takes for their future.
It’s possible that Kobe’s friends’ comments could influence his opinion. If he sees his friends being treated well by their wives, he might want Emily to be more submissive. Throughout the history of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, many couples have broken up due to excessive involvement from their family or friends. Colt Johnson’s relationships never worked out because his mom, Debbie Johnson, was always involved. The upcoming episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 will reveal whether Kobe can be easily influenced.
