AbdulRazaq mourns as deputy gov’s mother dies

Mama Ena Maud Alabi, mother of Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi is dead.

Mama Ena Maud Alabi’s death was announced in a Government House statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the governor on Friday.

The statement said that the mother of the deputy governor passed on in the early hours of Friday at the ripe age of 98 years.

The statement said that Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has joined the family of the deputy governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, to mourn the glorious exit of his mother.

“A Jamaican by birth and Nigerian by citizenship and marriage, the matriarch of the Alabi family went home in the early hours of Friday, April 5, 2024, at the age of 98, the statement said.

“She retired as a senior matron at Maternity Health center, Amilegbe, Ilorin in 1980, ending decades of impactful professional service to God and humanity as a health worker and caregiver.”
