Below Deck Season 11: Chef Nick Tatlock's Age, Job, Instagram & More

Below Deck season 11 welcomed a brand-new chef into the mix, introducing Chef Nick Tatlock in the most recent episode and leaving many wondering what there is to know about the new addition. While Chef Anthony Iracane spent the first charters of the season working well with the rest of the crew and the charter guests, there were some issues he faced aboard the superyacht. Chef Anthony struggled to keep himself organized, in part due to his dyslexia, and had trouble with getting his meals prepared on time to be served to the guests when they were seated for meals.

After dealing with some major difficulties in the last few charters, Captain Kerry Titheradge had no choice but to terminate Chef Anthony, and call in someone new. Chef Nick, who boarded St. David in the most recent episode of Below Deck season 11, immediately changed the feeling on the vessel. Coming in with a charming attitude and a higher level of confidence than the crew had seen with Anthony, Nick is already working well within the confines of the St. Davidโ€™s galley. Though he does seem to have some of his own quirks, Chef Nick is a great new addition.

While the majority of the crew aboard St. David skews younger, Chef Nick is one of the older members of the superyacht crew. Having worked in kitchens for decades, the Chef was introduced as a fun-loving, quirky presence aboard St. David. Though the rest of the crew were concerned when they realized that he was older than they anticipated, many of the crew members didnโ€™t take issue with Chef Nickโ€™s age, as they were aware he wasnโ€™t much older than many of them. Chef Nick shared that heโ€™s 40 years old during his first appearance on Below Deck season 11.

Although Nick is currently working as a chef on St. David, his experiences are expansive and varied, ranging through industries and locations all over the world. Nick shared that heโ€™s been a chef for over twenty years during his first episode of Below Deck season 11, meaning heโ€™ll surely be prepared for absolutely anything. As a superyacht chef, Nick understands that he has to be able to listen to what the guests are looking for, deal with their dietary preferences, and handle special requests they may have all while working with the provisions theyโ€™re able to get aboard St. David.

While heโ€™s not tremendously active, Nick has some social media presence that has been ramping up as heโ€™s prepared to join St. David on Below Deck season 11. Like many chefs, Nickโ€™s Instagram presence shows off a lot of the food he prepares, especially the beautiful pastries heโ€™s worked on in the past. Nick has photos of his work that go back years, leaving it impossible to deny that heโ€™s incredibly talented at what he does. Viewers can find Nick on Instagram at @nicktatlockbelowdeck, and can follow along with his time on St. David, as well as his off time.

Having been a chef for over two decades, Nickโ€™s had a lot of experience to prepare him for his time on Below Deck season 11. As a chef, Nick has worked all over the world, preparing delicious meals on superyachts and working in restaurants with incredibly talented chefs. One post earlier in his career shows Nick having curated and cooked for a Thai pop-up restaurant in Nicaragua, making it clear that heโ€™s interested in international cuisine and has the ability to work in various conditions. Nickโ€™s life before Below Deck appears to involve both work and a lot of travel.

While Nickโ€™s career is a major part of his life, he shared during his first appearance on Below Deck season 11 that his personal life is a bit different than others. Though heโ€™s 40, Nick shared that heโ€™s never been married and has no children. As someone who enjoys traveling and doesnโ€™t appear to have a home base that he cares to share, Nickโ€™s decision to fly solo throughout his life isnโ€™t surprising. Though heโ€™s not attached to anyone romantically, Nick did allude to the fact that heโ€™s had his fair share of Below Deck style boatmances in the past.
