Alhaji Liman Tambari Wamakko, the elder brother of a former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has passed away at age 86.
The deceased died on Sunday at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto Sstate, following a brief illness.
The late Liman Tambari’s funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Wamakko Central Mosque, Liman Shehu Ardo Wamakko.
The funeral prayer was attended by his younger brother Wamakko, the Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Tukur Bala Bodinga, SSG, Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, and the former Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi.
Others were the former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania, Ambassador Sahabi Isah Gada, members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council and Special Advisers.
The rest were Galadiman Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru Galadanci, traditional rulers, politicians, and Ulamas, among a retinue of many other important personalities from within and outside Sokoto State.
Shortly after the burial of the late Ubandoma, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko explained that death is inevitable.
He admonished, “Therefore, every soul will surely test it one day.
“It is inevitable for all mortals to depart this world only at God’s appointed time.”
The Senator went down memory lane to recall although eleven in their family, including the late Ubandoma Liman Tambari, only three of them were left behind.
He prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive all the sins of the deceased and reward him with Jannatul Firdausi as his final abode.
Senator Wamakko also used the medium to thank all those who graced the funeral of his elder brother and prayed to Allah to reward them abundantly.
A special prayer was offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased by Mallam Muhammadu Dangande Wamakko, the Chief Imam of Dinkyal Jumu’at Mosque, in Wamakko Local Government Area of the state.
The late Liman Tambari Wamakko, who died at the age of 86, left behind three wives and 15 children.
