A new free event weapon mentioned in Genshin Impact 4.7 may be perfect for one new character but will serve several other classic heroes in the game. The action RPG is currently in the early stages of Version 4.6, a highly anticipated patch that finally saw the release of Arlecchino in Genshin Impact as a playable unit. The update also added a load of new content, including a new area in Fontaine, multiple quests, and more. While the patch is still being explored, some of the planned content for Version 4.7 has started to leak.
A new piece of information obtained by the leaker known as Mero, shared by a user on Reddit, details all the new weapons allegedly arriving in Version 4.7. Among the two 5-star signature weapons for the rumored 5-star units Clorinde and Sigewinne, is a 4-star bow called Cloudweaver. Although not in direct response, according to a leak by Foul, also shared in a post on Reddit, this rumored 4-star bow is going to be a free event-only weapon and will be a signature bow for one of the new characters in Genshin Impact 4.7.
If the leak by Foul is true and Cloudweaver is, in fact, an event weapon, then this will likely be a F2P (free-to-play) item obtainable through the patch’s flagship event. This also means that it will not be obtainable through other means after the event that grants it is over – exactly which event will gift it is still unknown. While an exclusive free weapon is always good news, this may actually be an exceptional weapon, based on the new set of Genshin Impact 4.7 leaks.
According to the information provided by leaker Mero, the weapon has a 510 base ATK stat (at level 90) and boasts an impressive 165 Elemental Mastery sub-stat (at level 90). In addition to that, Cloudweaver’s leaked skill mentions the user gains 48 Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds when they consume or lose Elemental Energy, up to two stacks. This may be a perfect fit for Sethos in Genshin Impact, who is said to consume his own Energy to reduce the time necessary to get his Charged Attack to stage 2, which deals more damage.
The Elemental Mastery bumps, both in its sub-stat and the temporary boosts activated by Energy consumption also fit him well, since the rumors about Sethos indicate his main attacks scale off of Elemental Mastery. While it seems like the perfect weapon for him since he actually consumes Energy, thus always getting the alleged bonus, the rumored 4-star event weapon may fit some of the game’s older units, including a few fan-favorite characters in Genshin Impact. An Elemental Mastery-focused bow is not a fit for everyone, but there are some that may take advantage of those stats.
This includes Tighnari and Venti, both of which can significantly improve their performance when aided by a weapon that grants them Elemental Mastery. Surely, these 5-star characters have better options at hand, including their own 5-star signature bows, but the leaked event weapon may be a viable (and free) option for them to use. This weapon can also serve a sub-DPS Fischl, who specializes in triggering off-field Elemental Reactions rather than dealing damage herself.
Of course, leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, as they may be incorrect or subject to change. Nevertheless, the reports so far bode well, as previous event weapons have not been too remarkable. Having a free event weapon that actually serves a plethora of characters is good news, especially after quite a few disappointments – Dialogues of the Desert Sages and Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword were weapons that served very specific character kits in Genshin Impact, making them less attractive.
