Kano Gov reappoints Shuaibu Imam as SA Youths & Sports

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reappointed Yusuf Shuaibu Imam, popularly known as Ogan Boye, to serve in his previous capacity as Special Adviser on Youth and Sports.

It will be recalled that Ogan Boye was sacked from his position alongside a commissioner in the cabinet following threats to the elections of petition tribunal judges in the state.

However, the Commissioner was renominated by the Governor and had recently been confirmed by the State Assembly for reappointment.

Other appointments include eight fresh ones, including three other special advisers, the executive secretary, the director general, the managing director, and two deputy managing directors.

The spokesman to the State Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, announced Prof. Ibrahim Magaji Barde as Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Dr. Abdulhamid Danladi, Special Adviser on Diaspora II, and Engr. Bello Muhammad Kiru, Special Adviser on Water Resources.

With these fresh appointments, Dr. Nura Jafar Shanono is moved from Special Adviser Water Resources to Managing Director, Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA), and Baba Abubakar Umar is also moved from Special Adviser to Executive Secretary, Private and Voluntary Institutions Management Board.

Others appointed are Nasir Mansur Muhammad as Director General, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Aminu Hamidu Bako Kofar Naโ€™isa to serve as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA), and Engr. Mukhtar Yusuf to serve as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA).

He stated that the appointments are effective immediately, in furtherance of the governorโ€™s efforts to place more capable hands to lead Kano state to greater heights.
