Nigerian Idol Season 9 Premieres April 21 With 9ice, Others as Judges

The highly anticipated Season 9 of the prestigious Nigerian Idol will premiere on Sunday, April 21, 2024, with the trio of 9ice, Omawumi and Ric Hassani as judges.

Omawumi was a guest judge on the show in Season 7, while 9ice and Ric Hassani are making their debuts.

The show has rested the regular judges of the programme, Simi, Dโ€™banj and Obi Asika, for this yearโ€™s edition, but has retained IK Osakioduwa as the host.

A statement from MultiChoice, the organiser of the music talent hunt programme, disclosed that Nigerian Idol Season 9 will air at 7 pm on all Africa Magic Channels โ€“ Showcase (DStv ch. 151, GOtv ch. 12), and Family (DStv ch. 154, GOtv ch. 2). The live performances are expected to begin from Sunday, May 26, 2024.
