Adeleke To Aregbesola: ‘We’re Completing Your Projects Abandoned By Oyetola’

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to completing infrastructural projects initiated by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola but allegedly abandoned by the previous administration.

Adeleke made this assertion while felicitating with Aregbesola on his 67th birthday celebration held at Adebimpe Event Center in Osogbo.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, Adeleke hailed Aregbesola as a political phenomenon and a political prodigy with understanding of the political landscape.

He commended Aregbesola’s accomplishments across various capacities, including his tenure as a Commissioner in Lagos State, Governor of Osun State, and Minister of Interior.

“We are all assembled to honour a true man of the people, a man who genuinely understands the political game including the imperative of alliances and cross border partnership for achievements of political goals,” Adeleke stated.

The governor further acknowledged Aregbesola’s contributions to national development and expressed gratitude for his service to Osun State and the nation.

Adeleke said his administration has adopted a pragmatic approach by recognizing governance as a continuum and prioritizing service delivery over partisan considerations.

“On this occasion of your birthday, I am happy to report to you that our government is completing many projects you initiated that were abandoned by your successor. From roads to housing projects, we are building on your legacy of expanding the infrastructural base of Osun State,” he added.

Adeleke assured that Aregbesola’s legacy remains indelible and sustainable under his administration and beyond for the benefit of the people of Osun.
