The stars of Star Wars: The Bad Batch have shared their gratitude for viewers amidst their goodbye to the family that is Clone Force 99. The Bad Batch has officially wrapped up its three-season run, bringing the heartfelt story of the Batch to a peaceful end. First premiering almost exactly three years ago, it’s now time for both viewers and cast and crew to say goodbye to The Bad Batch and the squad at the heart of this thrilling animated TV show. While saying goodbye, the stars have chosen to highlight the audience and fully express their gratitude.
In a video shared by Star Wars, stars Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang come together to give a special message to the viewers of The Bad Batch. Baker, who voices all the members of Clone Force 99 aside from Omega, assures viewers that they “so appreciate your devotion and your love.” Ang, the voice of Omega, adds on by thanking viewers for “embracing this family of Clone Force 99,” in addition to “recognizing that being defective is not a bad thing, it can be a superpower.” Executive produces Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett also add their own message of gratitude.
It will be difficult for viewers to say goodbye to The Bad Batch, which has certainly been a consistently reliable and enjoyable project for many Star Wars audiences. Seeing the Clone Force 99 family develop over the years has been both delightful and emotional, especially with their story occurring during important events such as Order 66 and the transition from the Galactic Republic to the Empire. All around, it has been an absolute pleasure to follow along with, though the squad’s peaceful ending is very well deserved.
The epilogue attached to The Bad Batch season 3 ending feels very much like goodbye for all members of Clone Force 99 aside from Omega, who’s off to help the Rebel Alliance as a pilot. This makes it seem like Omega will be the only one to appear once again in later Star Wars stories. Still, however, there are ways for the whole squad to return once again in another project, especially since Hunter has told Omega to contact him if she ever needs their help.
Given Omega’s friendship with Hera Syndulla in The Bad Batch season 1, it’s very plausible that Omega could return as soon as Ahsoka season 2, especially since a new galactic threat looms with Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return. If the situation is dire enough, this could lead to Omega reaching out to her brothers for help, which would bring this family back together again. For now, however, it’s still goodbye to The Bad Batch and all the wonderful memories the show has made during its three-season run.
