Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are making their long-awaited comeback in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive first look at the official ScreenX artwork. The franchise began in 1995 with the original Bad Boys and has remained beloved by audiences since, as proven by 2020’s well-reviewed and high-grossing third entry, Bad Boys for Life. While Gabrielle Union is still not back to reprise her role as Marcus’ sister Syd, other returning cast members include Vanessa Hudgens as Kelly, Alexander Ludwig as Dorn, and Paola Núñez as Captain Rita Secada.
One exciting addition to the Bad Boys: Ride Or Die cast is Better Call Saul‘s Rhea Seehorn, who is playing a U.S. Marshall trying to catch Mike and Marcus while they’re on the run. When Miami PD’s finest learn that their former Captain was supposedly involved with major drug dealers, they decide to clear his good name and expose corruption within the department. Naturally, this means they are now the main suspects and must save their own reputation and freedom.

4 years feels like a long time to wait, but it’s far from the widest gap in the history of Bad Boys movies. After Bad Boys II in 2003, fans didn’t get a threequel until 17 years later, revealing that plenty had changed for Mike and Marcus in Bad Boys For Life. While the prolonged absences may be frustrating, they also make the heart grow fonder, allowing Smith and Lawrence’s dynamic duo to feel fresh every time. With Martin Lawrence himself declaring that he’s “going to carry on as long as [his] brother carries on,” the only thing conceivably standing in the way of more Bad Boys entries is box office numbers.
For that reason and more, Bad Boys is a franchise that demands to be seen on a big screen, and ScreenX is a particularly exciting choice that uses the sides of the theater and multiple projects to deliver an immersive 270-degree field of view.
