Ex-Deputy Gov. Otuaro Hails Oborevwori’s Milestone One Year Achievements – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State has done extremely well in his first year in office.

This was disclosed by Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, immediate Past Deputy Governor of Delta State in a congratulatory message to the governor as he marks one year in office, he said that Governor Oborevwori has made significant progress since assumption of office.

While acknowledging the immense challenges of governing a diverse and complex state like Delta, Deacon Otuaro commended Governor Oborevwori for his focus on delivering democracy dividends to its citizens.

He highlighted the giant strides in infrastructural development, especially in the riverine areas, noting the initiation and completion of several new projects including health centres, schools, roads, flyovers and bridges.

Deacon Otuaro said the action of Governor Oborevwori in completing uncompleted ones by his predecessors is worthy of commendation thus giving credence to the axiom that ‘Government is a continuous process, adding, this, “have enhanced access across the state, improved healthcare facilities and improved teaching and learning environment.”

Accordng to Deacon Otuaro, ” Governor Oborevwori has done well in his one year in office, he took up and completed projects he inherited. He initiated and completed many others while several others like the three flyovers in Effurun and Warri are ongoing”.

He also praised the Governor’s commitment to human capacity development through skills acquisition programmes and grants, which have significantly reduced youth unemployment, adding, “he has also excelled in human capacity building to put smiles on faces of our people”

Deacon Otuaro expressed the hopes for even greater achievements in the coming years under Governor Oborevwori’s administration, he then called on Deltans to give the Governor the much needed support and cooperation to enable him do more in the years ahead.
