Hunter x Hunter's Creator Is Officially Working On New Chapters

Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of Hunter X Hunter, is officially back at work on a new batch of chapters for his beloved and successful manga.

As revealed in a post on his X account, Togashi has started working on a new chapter for Hunter X Hunter. The picture only shows the corner of an unfinished page, as it’s now become customary for Togashi, and the post reveals that this is chapter #405, meaning that there are at least five more chapters of Hunter X Hunter coming in the future. … has already gone viral in a matter of hours.

Togashi started using X (then Twitter) in May of 2022, posting a mere sketch of a tree, which immediately went viral. Since then, his account has garnered almost three million followers, posting nothing more than page numbers and small glimpses of unfinished pages. After ten new chapters of Hunter X Hunter were published in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2023, ending with chapter #400, the manga went on hiatus again due to the well-known health issues of the author.

In March 2023, Togashi posted that he started working on chapter #401, giving another cryptic update in October of the same year (“start over”). The new post reveals that Togashi has made it to chapter #405, and that he resumed working due to feeling better. Unfortunately, it’s not known when Hunter X Hunter will resume publication, or how many chapters will come out this time, but fans can rejoice simply in the fact that Togashi is back at work.
