Police operatives from the Area Command, Asaba in Delta State, have arrested two suspected armed robbers in connection with the recent robbery operation around Coka and its environs.
The suspects include Ozuluonye Okonkwo, 21, and Anukwu Joseph.
They were arrested at different locations on 20th May, DAILY POST can report.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday.
He said the police first arrested Okonkwo after it deployed its operatives to the area.
According to Edafe, “Upon interrogation of the suspect, he stated that he and his gang were responsible for the robbery operation around Coka and its environs.
“His confession led to the arrest of one Anukwu Joseph, while the gang leader who is also the gun supplier is presently at large.”
SP Edafe added that the “suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing”.
