The Senate has passed the National Anthem Bill 2024.
This bill had been passed by the House of Representatives in the past week.
The bill seeks to replace the ‘Arise O’ compatriots’, which has been the national anthem for decades with ‘Nigeria, We Hail Thee’.
When subjected to scrutiny on Tuesday on the floor of the senate the bill scaled through rapid readings awaiting President Bola Tinubu’s assent to become law.
