Though Daisy was a front-runner and a fan favorite all season long, Joey gave his final rose to Kelsey. Daisy was expected to be the next lead of The Bachelorette. Fans were shocked when the job was given to fellow The Bachelor season 28 contestant Jenn Tran instead. There was some speculation that Daisy turned it down because she was simply too heartbroken to start dating again so soon, but now it seems like she may have had a different reason for turning the job down.

Daisy and Thor met in college and got back in touch after The Bachelor season 28 had aired its finale. According to Us Weekly‘s exclusive source, “He reached out to her first, and it’s been going really well.” Though it’s unclear how serious the relationship is, the pair has been traveling together, including vacationing with family. They were also spotted together recently in Indio, California, at the Stagecoach music festival.
According to Us Weekly, Thor appears to be a professional racer for SCORE International, an off-road desert racing league. Thor‘s Instagram account lists Las Vegas as his location. He comes from a well-known racing family. According to the Nevada Sports Hall of Fame, the Herbsts are the “first family of desert racing in Southern Nevada”. In April 2023, Thor posted an Instagram photo taken during a race.
As Joey’s runner-up, Daisy seemed like the perfect choice to be The Bachelorette. In a surprising turn of events, Daisy turned the job down, so it was given to Jen, the Bachelor franchise’s first Asian-American lead.
