Breaking: Super Eagles head to Abidjan for Benin Republic 2026 World Cup qualifier

After pulling a draw versus South Africa in Uyo, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are about now on their way to Abidjan, Cote d’ivoire for a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic.

The team will fly via direct chartered flight in a rescheduled venue after FIFA didn’t approve any stadium in Benin.

The match is fixed for 5pm on Monday, Nigerian time at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, where Nigeria were based at the last AFCON.

While Benin are third on the group C log with four points, while Nigeria are fourth with three points.
