The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), held on Friday, 21st and Saturday, 22nd June, 2024.
This supplementary exam was conducted for 28,835 candidates who faced biometric verification issues during the main 2024 UTME, preventing them from taking their exams.
In a statement issued by JAMBโs Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, it was revealed that the supplementary exam also included candidates suspected of engaging in examination malpractices during the main UTME but were granted a second chance to sit for the test.
โThe exercise, which recorded a huge success nationwide, was marked by heightened security measures put in place by the Board to preclude any instance of examination infractions. As such, some nefarious characters, who had attempted to impersonate bona fide candidates, were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution,โ the statement read.
Benjamin emphasized JAMBโs commitment to maintaining the integrity of its examination process through advanced technology.
โThe Board would continue to ensure that no candidate benefits from any acts of infractions through the deployment of state-of-the-art technology before, during, and after its examinations.โ
Candidates are strongly advised to avoid any irregularities during their exams and to refrain from soliciting score upgrades or tampering with result sheets. To check their supplementary
results, candidates should send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for generating their profile codes at the start of registration.
