I AM thrilled to share the inspiring journey of four brilliant young documentary storytellers from Nigeria who are attending the prestigious Sunny Side Documentary Film Festival.
Annabelle Ayangbade, Shedrack Salami, Zainab Bala, and Ugbe Chidiebere are the 2024 cohorts of the Fellowship programme organised by Story Mi, a dynamic documentary platform founded by the distinguished journalist Sophie Bullion, with generous support from the Embassy of France in Nigeria.
I am honored to join the delegation to Sunny Side, thanks to the kind invitation of Ms. Bullion. Engaging with these young filmmakers has been a truly enriching experience, allowing me to witness firsthand their passion, dedication, and the exceptional quality of training they have received from their mentors, the acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ike Nnaebue and the renowned UK journalist Mayeni Jones.
