The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested a Nigerian youth, Aliyu Sanusi, in connection with the planned nationwide protests against bad governance in Nigeria.
Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), announced Sanusiโs arrest in a post on his X platform on Tuesday.
According to Sowore, the DSS arrested Sanusi on Monday evening in Sokoto State for allegedly printing and distributing protest materials.
Sowore called for Sanusiโs immediate release in his statement.
โThe lawless @OfficialDSSNG has arrested Aliyu Sanusi for printing and distributing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria materials in Sokoto State. He was arrested yesterday evening in the Sama Road area of Sokoto. The DSS must release Aliyu Sanusi immediately.โ
