Popular Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, fondly called Burna Boy, recently revealed some thoughts on Nigerian society in a preview of his upcoming track, “Empty Chairs,” from his seventh studio album, “No Sign Of Weakness.”
In the song, the singer asserts that Nigerians who amass wealth without engaging in politics often fall prey to the flaws of the societal system.
He also mentioned that his adversaries have transitioned from the streets to the digital realm.
“If you are not a politician and you manage to get rich, then you are a victim of society.”
In the snippet that went viral on X on Monday night, he sings, “My enemies are no longer on the streets; now they’re on the internet, in the blogs.”
