Legendary American actor Jon Voight has criticized his daughter, Angelina Jolie, for her support of Palestine in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
Jolie has been vocal about her support for Palestinian civilians amidst the war.
Voight, however, noted that his daughter’s stance is influenced by the United Nations under the guise of human rights advocacy.
He emphasized that he loves his daughter and does not wish to quarrel with her.
“I love my daughter. I don’t want to fight with my daughter, but the fact is, I think she has been influenced by the U.N,” Voight said in an interview with Variety.
“From the beginning, it’s been awful with human rights. They call it human rights, but it’s just anti-Israel bashing.”
Recall that American singer Kehlani recently disclosed that she lost opportunities and deals due to her support for Palestine.
During a conversation with the Breakfast Club, she mentioned that her efforts, which included raising $500,000 for the people of Gaza, Congo, and Sudan, faced significant backlash.
