Nigerian singer David Adeleke, fondly called Davido, recently described his late mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, as a “baddie.”
The singer made this revelation while reminiscing about her in a recent Instagram post.
In the post, he shared a photo of his mother in her academic regalia, writing: “My mom was a baddie.”
Recall that Veronica Adeleke passed away on the 6th of March 2003, at the age of 39.
She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido later earned his music degree.
Additionally, she founded a band named ‘Davido’s Band’ in honour of her son.
Also, Davido’s two daughters, Imade and Hailey, are named after her.
