From the posters of Cristiano Ronaldo on his bedroom walls in Paris to wearing Real Madrid’s training kit daily, Kylian Mbappé’s journey to his dream club is a story of perseverance and destiny.
At just 13 years old, Mbappé traveled with his family to visit Real Madrid’s training ground, Valdebebas. Hosted by none other than Zinedine Zidane, the experience was surreal for the young talent.
“Zizou invited me in his own car to go and visit the famous Valdebebas. It was like a dream to me… just thinking: so maybe I’m still dreaming on the plane?” Mbappé reminisced.
During the trip, he also witnessed Real Madrid vs. Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabéu, where his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, scored a goal.
“We just wanted our son to visit Real and be happy, not to convince Real to sign him for the academy,” his mother, Fayza Lamari, shared about that memorable trip.
Today, that dream comes full circle.
Mbappé will be officially unveiled at the Santiago Bernabéu, with a fully sold-out stadium of 85,000 fans eagerly awaiting their new star.
