The Federal Government has successfully repatriated 190 stranded Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This was announced in a statement by Mr. Bashir Garga, the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) zonal director in the North Central, on Tuesday in Abuja.
The returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday at 5:57 a.m. and were received by a combined team of government officials led by NEMA.
Upon arrival, the returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and were sensitized to behave with decorum and responsibility on their return to Nigeria.
“The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, by upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” the statement said.
