On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
According to presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, Walson-Jackโs appointment will take effect on August 14, 2024.
โMrs. Walson-Jack was appointed Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and has served in several Ministries,โ Ngelale stated.
Walson-Jack will succeed Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, the current Head of the Civil Service, who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.
In his statement, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Dr. Yemi-Esan for her dedicated service and emphasized the importance of integrity and adherence to civil service regulations in Walson-Jackโs upcoming tenure.
โThe new appointee is expected to bring innovative flair to the role while maintaining the highest standards of integrity,โ the President remarked.
Walson-Jackโs extensive experience within various ministries positions her as a capable leader to navigate the complexities of the civil service and continue the work of her predecessor.
