PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has inaugurated eight Federal Permanent Secretaries.

The inauguration took place ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja.

The appointment of the permanent secretaries was authorized by Tinubu on June 28, 2024, to address current and forthcoming vacancies in several states and geopolitical zones within the top administrative cadre of the federal civil service.

Selection of the new federal permanent secretaries reportedly underwent a meticulous process conducted by the office of the head of the civil service of the federation.

The ceremony, which involved the reading of citations by the permanent secretary-designates and the administration of their oaths of office in two groups of four, was overseen by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Emanso Okop (Akwa-Ibom); Obi Vitalis (Anambra); Mahmood Fatima (Bauchi); and Danjuma Sanusi (Jigawa). Additionally, the appointees include Olusanya Olubunmi (Ondo); Keshinro Ismaila (Zamfara); Akujobi Ijeoma (South-East); and Isokpunwu Osaruwanmwen (South-South).
