Popular American rapper Cardi B has expressed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Party’s candidate for the upcoming United States presidential election.
Previously, Cardi B had suggested Harris as the ideal candidate following President Joe Biden’s debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump.
She, therefore, welcomed the recent news of Biden stepping down and endorsing Harris with enthusiasm.
Recall that President Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic Party candidate on the 21st of July, 2024 endorsing his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the party’s new flagbearer.
While reacting via her X account Cardi B wrote: “Aha hahaha let’s go! I told y’all Kamala (Harris) was supposed to be the 2024 candidate… Stop f*ckin playin’ with me!”
The singer told Rolling Stone in May that she won’t vote in the November election if the two major candidates remain: President Joe Biden of the Democratic Party, and his predecessor, Donald Trump of the Republican Party.
She shared that while she once viewed Trump as “a dire threat,” she now feels “layers and layers of disappointment” under Biden due to what she perceives as domestic and foreign mismanagement.
