Osun Amotekun Corps has arrested three persons in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state, for allegedly stealing vehicle parts.

He said that the suspects were arrested while trying to sell the stolen items to a scrap dealer.

โ€œThe suspects: Sodiq Oyedokun, 21; Ojoko Ayomiposi, 21; and Busari Ayomide 24, were arrested on Wednesday when they tried to sell the items to one Malam who deals in scrap metals in Ode-Omu.

โ€œThe scrap dealer, however, refused to buy the stolen items from them and alerted Amotekun operatives who sprung into action immediately and apprehended the suspects on the spot,โ€ he said.

According to him, during interrogation, the suspects confessed that they stole the items at a mechanic workshop in Akure, Ondo State and relocated to Ode-Omu to sell the items before they were apprehended.
