The chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State, Tosin Odeyemi, has said that the nation has been let down by both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement made available to reporters on Wednesday, Odeyemi stated that the nation’s two main political parties have shown their best sides, thus it is necessary to attempt a new, capable leadership that can help the nation out of its current situation.
In addition, he stated that the current economic crisis would have been avoided if the leaders had been honest and brave enough to take on the cabals keeping the nation back.
He however called for a new political dawn for Nigeria, urging Nigerians to focus on electing capable and credible leaders as the 2027 election campaign picks up steam.
“Nigeria needs a man of integrity who can take bold transformative decisions without fear of favour no matter whose ox is gored.
“We have tried the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and now All Progressives Congress (APC). We have seen their best which landed us where we are; hunger everywhere,” Odeyemi said.
