Army launches Toll-Free emergency line to combat banditry in Kebbi, Zamfara

In its resolve to enhance security and ensure the safety of citizens, Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) has introduced a toll-free emergency line for the public.

The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Brigade Nigerian Army Gusau, Lt. Suleiman Omale, made the disclosure in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the Toll-free line released is part of OPHDโ€™s comprehensive strategy to combat banditry within its Area of Responsibility and beyond.

The statement explained that, โ€œThe newly launched toll-free line, 08000020202, is now available for emergency, complaint, and distress calls.

โ€œOPHD urges members of the public to make responsible use of this lineโ€, emphasizing that timely and accurate reporting can play a critical role in the fight against banditry.

The Army under OPHDโ€™s stated that they were committed to leveraging on innovative strategies to restore peace and security across the region.

It noted that the publicโ€™s collaboration was crucial to the success of the mission, and that OPHD remained steadfast in its dedication to protecting lives and property.
