Atlético Madrid has agreed to a sensational deal to sign Argentine forward Julián Álvarez in a €95 million package. The agreement, reached today after intense negotiations with his agent Fernando Hidalgo, includes a long-term contract.
Manchester City, who signed Álvarez for €17 million, have completed their record sale, netting €75 million upfront with an additional €20 million in potential add-ons.
Álvarez, who had expressed a strong desire to join Atlético, was a priority target for manager Diego Simeone. The forward is set to sign a five-year contract with the Spanish club.
