Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time, has hinted at the possibility of retiring at his current club, Al Nassr.
The Portuguese superstar, who joined the Saudi Arabian club in December 2022, revealed his thoughts on his future in a recent interview.
“I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will retire at Al Nassr,” Ronaldo said.
His statement has sparked widespread speculation about how long the 39-year-old forward plans to continue playing.
Ronaldo expressed his contentment with his current situation, stating, “I’m very happy at this club, I feel good in this country too, I love playing in Saudi Arabia. I want to continue.”
His words suggest that he is fully committed to his time in the Saudi Pro League, where he has already made a significant impact.
When asked about his post-retirement plans, Ronaldo was clear that he does not see himself in a managerial role.
“It’s difficult to think that I will be a manager one day,” he admitted.
“In my mind, I’m not considering being the head coach of any football team. So… I don’t even think about it.”
Instead, Ronaldo hinted at a future away from the pitch entirely. “I see my future doing things out of football,” he told Now.
Ronaldo’s comments have left fans wondering what his next chapter might look like, but for now, it seems the football legend is focused on continuing his illustrious career with Al Nassr.
