Additionally, former Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon received the 2024 UEFA President’s Award.
Both legends were celebrated during the UEFA Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on Thursday evening.
Ronaldo, synonymous with excellence in European football, was presented with the prestigious honor by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, further cementing his status as the Champions League’s all-time top scorer.
The ceremony took place during the 2024/25 UCL draw on Thursday, August 29. Ronaldo’s unparalleled achievements, including his 140 goals in 183 appearances, have left an indelible mark on the competition’s history.
The draws for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League are set to take place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
