…As Residents Demand Rejig Of Security Architecture
A civilian and his family have been attacked by armed men in the Tundun Fulani extension area of Bwari Area Council, in Abuja. The assailants allegedly killed the man and abducted his wife and three children.
The information shared by one Comrade Kenneth Chima on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday further revealed that the recent incident resulted from the incompetence of the police architecture in the area council, calling for a rejig.
According to reports, the armed men had attacked the residence at about 1:30 am on Friday, breaking into the place. It is also uncertain if there are other fatalities following the incursion.
NewsNGR was, however, unable to reach the Federal Capital Territory Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh for detailed information about the incident.
Bwari Area Council has recorded recurring cases of kidnap since the start of 2024.
Communities like Piko also witnessed the kidnap of 13 residents in May.
In June, nearly 30 armed men conducted a coordinated operation on the Guto, Piyawe, Tudun-Fulani and Sabon Gari communities of the Council. The assailants kidnapped a resident and killed four others.
Also in July, a resident of El-Rufai Estate was shot by kidnappers after an attempt to kidnap him was foiled.
