Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has accused Davido of orchestrating his arrest over defamation charges.
In a series of posts on his X account, Dammy Krane claimed that the police had unlawfully detained him at Davido’s behest.
He further alleged that there were plans to frame him for involvement in cryptocurrency scams.
Expressing his concerns, Dammy Krane urged the public to hold Davido accountable if anything were to happen to him.
“If anything happens to me @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me.
“They wrote a petition, lying that I am into Flutterwave & Crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using the bad cops to spoil the name of the police,” he shared on X handle.
Recall that the conflict between the two artists began in 2023 when Dammy Krane publicly accused Davido of owing him money.
In response, Davido labeled Dammy Krane as ungrateful.
Since then, Dammy Krane has persistently criticized Davido online, even accusing him of being involved in the 2017 death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who allegedly died from alcohol poisoning after a birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State.
Also, During a live performance, veteran Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, intervened, urging both Dammy Krane and Davido to make peace.
