Popular Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody.
He was freed on the 29th of August, 2024, six days after his arrest and detention by Davido over allegations of defamation.
Recall that Dammy Krane had previously claimed, in a series of posts on his X account, that he was unlawfully arrested at Davido’s behest.
The news of his release was shared by well-known social media critic, Verydarkman, also known as VDM.
In a now-viral video on Instagram posted by VDM, Dammy Krane offered an apology to Davido for the accusations he had made against him.
VDM wrote, “Dammykrane it out, dear @davido as you have honoured me by listening to my plea in less than 4hrs God will honour you. I believe God is giving him a second chance and I hope he focuses on his music moving on.
In the video, Dammy Krane said, “I want to say a big thank you to my brother. There are a lot of words that ought not to be said. I want to apologize for Tagbo’s death allegation. David is still my brother. And we are going to find a major ground to resolve everything.”
