The Ajiran community in the Agungi area of Lekki, Lagos State, is in shock after the brutal killing of Demola, the first son of their traditional ruler, Tijani Akinloye, the Ojomu of Ajiran land.
The attack happened on Monday near Ebano Supermarket along Chevron Drive.
According to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity, the killing has caused widespread fear, leading many residents to leave the area.
A notice from a local estate confirmed the tragic event, urging residents to avoid the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas for their safety.
The notice stated, “The son of the Ajiran king was assassinated today (Monday) near Ebano Supermarket. We advise residents to stay away from the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas for now.”
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, said he was not yet informed about the incident but promised to provide an update once he had more details.
The community remains tense as residents await more information from the authorities.
