As the coach of France’s Olympic football team, Henry is preparing his squad for the Gold Medal Match against Spain at the 2024 Paris Games, and Olise has been a key player in their journey to the final.
Olise has played a crucial role for France, starting in four out of five matches and contributing to seven of the eight goals scored during his time on the pitch.
His impressive performances include scoring twice, notably in the 3-1 extra-time victory over Egypt in the semi-final.
This success follows a remarkable but injury-hit 2023/24 season with Crystal Palace, where Olise scored 10 goals and provided six assists in just 19 Premier League appearances. His form caught the attention of Bayern Munich, who secured his services this summer.
Henry, a FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship winner, believes Bayern Munich has signed a 22-year-old player with immense potential.
“He’s got incredible qualities, and you ain’t seen nothing yet, it’s only the start,” Henry said ahead of the Olympic final. “It’s not often that you get players like that.”
