Hit Them Hard Until They Succumb: NAF Chief on Fight Against Terrorists, Oil Thieves

Hassan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), has issued a directive to commanders to intensify operations against terrorists and oil thieves across Nigeria.

This directive was conveyed in a statement by Edward Gabkwet, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), on Tuesday.

Abubakar urged the commanders to remain vigilant and to leverage intelligence, precision strikes, and collaborative efforts to combat insecurity in the country.

He praised the commanders for their critical role in ensuring national safety and security, acknowledging the significant impact of their efforts.

โ€œThe service, and indeed the entire nation, are proud of your achievements. Your relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to duty have not gone unnoticed, and the recent operational successes are a testament to your leadership and the professionalism of the men and women under your command,โ€ Abubakar stated.

He emphasized the need for continued pressure against criminal elements, saying, โ€œWe must, however, continue to hit them hard until they succumb to our superior might. We must not rest on our laurels. The security of our nation depends on our continued resolve and unwavering commitment.โ€

Abubakar further charged the commanders to โ€œintensify your efforts and push forward with even greater determination,โ€ assuring them that the Nigerian Air Force will provide all necessary support to ensure the success of their missions.

The CAS also reaffirmed the commitment of the NAF leadership to the welfare of the commanders and the provision of essential resources to enhance their operational capabilities.
