Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, CON, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, held a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Thursday.
The discussion centered on the future of transportation in Nigeria, particularly the implementation of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses under the administration’s Presidential CNG Initiative.
In a closed-door session, Chukwuma, a trailblazer in the production of CNG-powered vehicles in Nigeria, expressed his strong support for the initiative, which aims to provide more affordable and environmentally friendly transportation options for Nigerians.
He praised the Tinubu administration for prioritizing this innovative approach, which he believes could save the nation billions of Naira monthly.
Chukwuma urged Nigerians to remain patient with the government as it rolls out this initiative, emphasizing that the benefits of CNG-powered buses would soon be evident across the country. He expressed optimism that these buses would transform Nigeria’s transportation landscape, offering cleaner and more cost-effective options for commuters.
