The Kaduna Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Wednesday, inaugurated a groundbreaking 200 hectares of housing project in the New Millennium City, in partnership with Urban Shelter to address the housing challenges in the state.
Performing the groundbreaking at the Urban Shelter Estate, Millennium City, Chikun LG, on Wednesday, the governor said the project, aimed at providing affordable housing solutions for the poor, vulnerable, and underserved communities, was a testament to his administrationโs commitment to addressing the stateโs housing deficit.
Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, Sani who said housing was not just a mere structure but โa Pilar of human dignityโ emphasized the administrationโs priority on housing while highlighting the comprehensive strategy employed to address the housing challenges.
This, according to him, includes partnerships with local and international investors, implementing a Social Housing Scheme, and strengthening the Public Housing Corporation.
He noted that the project was expected to transform the lives of citizens and demonstrate the governmentโs commitment to social responsibility.
This was just as the governor added that Urban Shelterโs investment in the state was a clear indication of the governmentโs efforts to attract local and international investors to the stateโs housing sector.
The Governor encouraged other investors to seize the opportunities in Kaduna Stateโs housing sector, assuring them of a robust policy framework and steadfast commitment from the government.
