THE State Government has ordered the closure of all bank accounts operated by its ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in the state.
The government directed that they be merged into a single treasury account.
Governor Abba Yusuf issued this directive at a meeting held at the Government House in Kano on Wednesday.
He explained that this decision was necessitated by the financial irregularities observed in various ministries and agencies.
