Okocha Leads Massive Solidarity Rally For Tinubu In Rivers

On Tuesday, Tony Okocha, Rivers State Representative at the NDDC, led a sea of Renewed Hope members in a 7-kilometer solidarity march for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, demonstrating unwavering support for the President.

The rally, which kicked off at the Port Harcourt Polo Club in G.R.A, wound its way through the city, culminating at the prestigious Port Harcourt Club.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Okocha emphasized that the rally was a platform for the people to express their unshakeable support for President Tinubu, as well as FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, and Senate President, Chief Godโ€™swill Akpabio.

Hereโ€™s a rewritten version with a more engaging tone:

Okocha, however, used the solidarity rally as a platform to accuse Governor Siminalayi Fubaraโ€™s alleged involvement in the recent #EndBadGovernance protests against President Tinubu.

Okocha accused Governor Fubara of secretly masterminding the protests, driven by his personal hatred against the President.

He claimed that Fubaraโ€™s actions were motivated by hatred and a desire to spite President Tinubu.

He said, โ€œThis is what we call protest or whatever you call it. We are marching for Mr President. We want to clean the rot that was typical of August 1 to August 10.

โ€œWe imagine that in Rivers State, you all know, you are from here, Rivers State has never been an Epicentre for any protest or demonstration.

I was very active in the EndSars protest. Did you see that protest in Rivers State being as profuse and excruciating as what you saw?

โ€œSo there must be a reason, that reason is the fact that the man who funded, sponsored and held midnight meetings with youths is the only person that benefited from the 10 days of inactivities in Nigeria, particularly in Rivers State.

โ€œOn the first day that youths gathered, the Governor had the presence of mind to take the rostrum to tell the youths that he will pass their message to Mr President assuming and absolviing himself from the accusations.

โ€œI am sure you all saw him, when he said he would give them something for pure water and bread when other governors in other states are circumspect and busy with all strata of people in their states to tackle the protest, our own Governor moves freely to commission or attend a burial of somebodyโ€™s mother in Khana, didnโ€™t you see that?

โ€œAnd whilst he was moving he drove deliberately through the crowd, the people that he mobilized to protest against Tinubu and he wants us and tells the world that he is a supporter of Tinubu. It is a fat lie, he hates President Tinubu. This is the Tinubu family in Rivers State and it is under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He however thanked the crowd for turning up in their numbers for the rally,

โ€œI did not think that I should speak today. What else would u say? When previous speakers have said everything else. So, I have no time for unnecessary repetition. But I want to say just a few things;

โ€œWhilst we saw people flying the flags of Russia, we in Rivers State we flew the Nigerian Flag. Our business today, I am sure you are witness to the mammoth crowd, I do not know how to thank them enough. At their own volition, with their freeness of hearts they came in this large number and you saw how successful and peaceful the procession was.

Earlier, Dr Gift Worlu, former Commissioner of Housing, resigned from Governor Fubaraโ€™s Cabinet, while addressing the crowd said Nigeria before the emergence of President Tinubu was moving in the wrong direction on a very high speed, adding that the president was working round the clock to fix an economy that has already gone bad.

Worlu, who urged the people to pray for the president to deliver Nigeria, thanked the president for making very hard but right decision to right the wrongs in the country.
