The Abia State House of Assembly has passed Abia State Pension Reform and Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) Bills into law.

Meanwhile, the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) Bill is set to be a game-changer for Ohafia and its neighbouring communities in Abia North.
The bill envisions a vibrant transformation through strategic partnerships with private investors, infrastructure financing, and the creation of industrial clusters.
It paves the way for unprecedented development, job creation, and industrialization, establishing the region as an emerging economic hub.
The Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, along with his colleagues, extended their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Okoro Kalu, the visionary sponsor of these pivotal bills.
