Abia Govt To Deploy Security Guards To Schools Ahead Sept 16 Resumption

The Abia State Government says it will deploy security personnel across educational institutions in the state as a robust security measures to safeguard students, teachers, and school properties.

This development was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu, during a press briefing following this weekโ€™s State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, chaired by State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti on Monday.

Prince Kanu highlighted that this initiative is a key component of the administrationโ€™s comprehensive reform agenda for the education sector, fulfilling a critical promise made by Governor Otti.

โ€œThis deployment is a clear fulfilment of our commitment to protect the lives and properties of students and teachers across the state,โ€ stated Prince Kanu.
