A veteran Nigerian film actor, Emmanuel France, has been confirmed dead.
His death was announced by his colleague, Femi Ogedengbe via his Instagram page on Monday.
France, believed to be in his 80s, was celebrated for his roles in films such as Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director.
โRest in peace to one of Nollywoodโs legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,โ Ogedengbe wrote.
โOne of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director. R.I.P,โ Ogedengbe wrote.
As of the time of this report, the cause of Franceโs death remains unconfirmed.
His passing has left fans and colleagues in shock and grief, coming just days after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry.
News Direct had also reported the death of another film actor simply known as Big Larry on Friday.
This had been announced in an Instagram post made by a movie producer, Stanley Nwoke
