Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has won his polling unit for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo.
Obasaki voted at PU19, Ward 04, Oredo LGA before going round several local governments to assess the process.
He commended the process and hailed voters who turned out in large numbers and queued peacefully to cast their ballot.
At the end of the voting exercise at Obasekiโs polling unit, the presiding officer announced that the PDP secured 127 while the All Progressives Congress scored (APC) got 35.
The candidate of the Labour Party, Olumide Akpata, scored 11.
Sorting and counting of votes is underway after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) extended the time for voting due to late arrival of officials and materials.
